Eagle Scout project is almost done. The paint is drying on the tree signs, and then I'll just have to screw them into the trees. I got a taste of the carpenter's life this week, carving tree names into the signs with a router, then routering the edges. There was much noise and sawdust, and sharp tools that spin fast. It was fun, I made things that look good. People better use this trail!

I ran today, five miles. Whenever I run, the world seems to be a better place. Physical pain makes me optimistic. I hate running, but deep inside, I need it.
I just want to randomly get in the car and drive west to a place I've never seen, like San Francisco where Emily is. Lucky.
